多年以前买到了一种双磁带版本的“1998葛莱美的光彩”，第二张磁带的B面第二首名为The End is the Beginning is the End的歌曲是那么的酷，我当时在想如果能弄到唱这首歌的乐队的专辑，能够听整张都是这样曲子的专辑该是件多么过瘾的事情！从此我便记下了这个唱这首狂暴歌特味(绝不同于歌特金属)歌曲的乐队——Smashing Pumpkins。

如今我听过Smashing Pumpkins的所有录音室专辑，没有一张让我失望过，哪怕是那张饱受批评的Adore，但偏偏找不到这首The End is the Beginning is the End的出处，通过万能的Wikipedia终于知道我的碎瓜的处女听竟出自一部同样饱受批评的电影——Batman & Robin。关于Batman系列的电影，不同的导演拍出迥然不同的风格，我觉得如果没有多年每月按时看连载漫画的经历而来凭空批评电影是肤浅的…其实我想说的是我觉得这部电影还不错，如果本身是基于漫画改编的话表演得再夸张又有什么关系呢？

Batman & Robin电影Soundtracks中的最后一首也是Smashing Pumpkin的歌，名为The Beginning Is The End Is The Beginning，旋律和前面的相同但是柔和了许多，电子感十足更接近Adore的风格，但我更爱噪版的、E弦降调的The End is the Beginning is the End。
